El Capitan High School Track and Cross Country anually hosts both a Cross Country Invitational as well as a Track and Field Invitational. Additionally the Vaquero Staff hosts a Junior Olympics for the youth of Lakeside to come and compete at El Capitan in Track and Field Events.
